Where Does “fat “- Go When You Lose Weight?

INTRODUCTION

Today the world is obsessed with losing weight since one of the critical problems we face is obesity or weight gain. Fat, like any other nutrients, is essential for the human body. But when a large amount of fat starts to deposit in the body, it becomes a health concern.  So we begin to exercise to lose this excess fat. The two things that enable fat loss are diet and exercise.

WHAT IS FAT?

Let’s begin with the basics: what is fat-fat is a soft fatty tissue seen under the skin, around the organs, intermuscular system, and bone marrow. It contains fat cells that help to store energy in the form of fat. When we work out, the excess fat will be lost.

DIGESTION OF FAT

The common conception is that fat will be converted to energy. The by-product of fat loss is carbon dioxide and water. The fat will be converted to carbon dioxide and water after metabolism. We will exhale the carbon dioxide, and water will be lost as urine and sweat. That is, out of 100 kg of fat consumed, 80.4kg will be lost as exhale air, and the other 19.6g will be lost as urine or sweat.

ENERGY AND FAT

When there are no sufficient calories in the body, fat will be released from fat cells, and this will be used as energy. The excess energy, main calories from fats, are stored in fat cells in the form of triglycerides, one of the ways the body stores energy. But when there is extensive storage of this fat, it can lead to various problems.

To avoid this, there should be a “calorie deficit.” That is, you have to consume lesser calories than you burn. If you maintain this calorie deficit, fats will be released from fat cells to energy-producing cells. There it will be broken down to release energy, which will help to reduce fat in the body.

PHYSICAL EXERCISE AND FAT

One of the essential things which help in this is “exercise.” It will fasten the process by increasing blood flow to muscles, releasing fats to be used as energy at a more rapid rate. To get good results, you should do exercises that help to improve the muscle mass and increase the calorie burn. Fat will be lost faster from the belly, thighs, etc. But studies show that the loss of fat only from a particular region is not possible. The fat loss rate can change from person to person. And some genetic and lifestyle factors are also there.

CONCLUSION

Since the by-product of breaking down of fat is removed as exhaled air, it doesn’t mean that you can breathe more to remove fat. It not only works but can make you dizzy.  The critical method to increase the amount of carbon dioxide is, of course, by doing more physical activities. By doing more physical activities, the fat deposited in the fat cells will be released and makes the cells shrink, thereby reduces the body proportions.
