Kick Boxing
Kickboxing is relatively a type of modern martial arts. This type of technique has been derived from combining tricks from various types of martial arts like kung-fu, tae kwon do and karate. Kick boxing was first practiced in 1970’s which is best aerobic workouts. People transformed Chinese fighting techniques into American and English styles and as a result of that kick boxing was born. During that time period, Americans were trying to define a sport which could be competitive to all the present sports in the eastern countries like china, Japan and Korea. Kick boxing was a result for this search and the kick boxing association was also formed then.
In kick boxing, the opponents are supposed to use their feet and fists only to hit each other. Another rule for this sport is that the person can only hit his opponent in those area which above the hip. Hitting below the hip would be counted as a foul. The opponents cannot use elbows, knees or shins. The American kickboxing has 10-12 rounds and each round is of two to three minutes and after each round there is a one minute break. The European kick boxing contains five rounds which are of three minutes each. No break is given in European kickboxing.
